Gee, what did Ghana do to piss off the Americans? Just a couple of months ago, Ghana was hailed along with a few other African countries in the top ten growing economies in the world! And just yesterday, Goldman Sachs was quoted as saying “Invest now or get left behind”. What’s more just today, an article appeared stating Ghana’s growth in the first quarter was 8.7%.

But Forbes Magazine in an article entitled “World’s Worst Economies” has ranked Ghana as the ninth worst economy in the world. Hey, what’s going on?

Now, with a little digging-isn’t the internet fabulous…you can get to the bottom of this confusion quick, quick. And here it is, thanks to the award-winning human rights group IMANI GHANA. This particular FORBES article first actually appeared in 2010, not 2012! Here is the analysis of the situation. BRAVO IMANI!

And boo to all the Ghanaian news agencies, radio websites, newspapers that ran with the story without doing their own due diligence.

But I reserve my biggest BOOOOO for blogger Baahduodu who copies other people’s work without giving any comment or opinion of his own. These aren’t posts…they are tweets or facebook entries. I’ve been making this comment in the comment sections of his various posts of this nature, but alas…no change in behaviour! If ya want to see what’s been going on between us, go to his post on the benefits of coffee and see the exchange of comments…ugh. I just feel there are a lot of bloggers, yours truly included I hope, who bravely express opinions, who risk, who hang themselves out on the proverbial line…..
