Dear Sir,

Preparations for U.S. President Obama’s July visit to Ghana are now in high gear. I would like to suggest that the committees struck consider arranging a place other than Cape Coast Castle for President Obama to visit. I believe President Obama must visit a place that reflects the dynamism of present day Ghana. Instead of projecting images of Ghana’s grizzly history, let’s show the world that Ghana  is a progressive, modern  nation. President Obama pictured at a project, educational, health, agricultural or small industry, supported by the Millennium Challenge Account established by his predecessor, will truly capture the attention of the world. The promise of continuing development support must be portrayed by positive images of tangible successes, not negative, sordid scenes depicting man’s inhumanity to man.

Best wishes,
Chris Scott
