Lake Bosomtwi from space

I have a facebook friend who lives in Accra and owns and operates-like we do-a small guest house. Like myself, he is passionate about promoting Ghanaian tourism and indirectly his own enterprise. He has a number of facebook sites and lots of friends on each. His name is BEN BOATEY-BLICKS. My hat goes off to him for all his efforts. AYIKOO!

He posted this recently.
Chelsea Inn & Suites – Accra Lake Bosumtwi is situated within an ancient meteorite impact crater. It is approximately 8 km across and the only natural lake in Ghana. It is situated about 30 km south-east of Kumasi and is a popular recreational area. There are about 30 villages near the lake, with a combined population of about 70,000 people.

Christopher Scott Guests of Four Villages Inn (www.fourvillages.com) went there by taxi yesterday. They said they were stopped 7 times at police checkpoints as well as one toll booth!

Sometimes Ben and I don’t see eye-eye, but I can live with that.

Another of his facebook friends had concerns about the situation.
Andy TheDad Estrada the checkpoint was an unusual experience. had to pay a fee to pass. our escort was arguing with the guard. didn’t know if this was a legal checkpoint
