Canada…is always present at FOUR VILLAGES INN! In fact, madinghana is the Warden for the Canadian High Commission here in Ashanti. That is I am Canada’s official representative and FOUR VILLAGES INN over the years has become like a Canada House here in Ashanti.

Recently, FOUR VILLAGES INN hosted Charles Longtin, Second Secretary/Vice Consul. at the High Commission of Canada, Accra, who was here in Kumasi on a working holiday with his family.

MADINGHANA, BECKY, CHARITY WITH CHLOE, LAURA, CHARLES WITH EVA

Together we paid courtesy calls arranged by madinghana to relevant support services to Canadian residents here in Kumasi and Canadian tourists. First stop was the state of the art emergency wing at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH). How impressive! We were treated to a wonderful tour of the facility. It is truly reassuring knowing that such a facility is there in case of emergency or illness. A WORD TO THE WISE THOUGH-BE INSURED!

From there we had some time before our next appointment so we went to the nearby cultural centre and had an impromptu chat with Mr Ekow Sampson, Regional Manager of the Ghana Tourist Board, who received us warmly.

Such topics as quality facilities and attractions existing here in Kumasi with particular mention of the three time award winning Four Villages Inn, the recently announced Lake Bosomtwi project, and the subject of scrapping short term tourist visas to Ghana, were discussed.

From the cultural centre we proceeded to the Regional Ghana Police Headquarters where we met with the Deputy Commander/Assistant Commissioner of Police for Ashanti Kwasi Duku. Of note, he informed Charles that crime rates here in Ashanti had actually dropped.

While we were meeting with officials, Laura, Becky and kids were out with FOUR VILLAGE INN guide Comfort, who works exclusively for us.

Here’s Laura’s comment in Comfort’s ‘guest book’:

“Thank you Comfort! What a wonderful guide, very very knowledgeable and we had a nice “hot” tim! The kids enjoyed, thanks again for taking care of us and the kids! Take care.”

And the family wrote for FOUR VILLAGES INN:

“A great time, wonderful hosts and beautiful house. A great place to stay. The kids loved it. Hopefully we can come back some day!! “

“Thank you Chris and Charity, we had a great time in Kumasi!” Laura, Eva, Charles and Chloe
