Malala, an inspiration

Posted on September 14, 2014

Just finished “I am Malala” by Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani teenager who got shot in the head by the Taliban in October, 2012. Coincidentally, just a day or two ago, it was reported that ten of her assailants were captured.

What an inspiring story of a passionate campaigner for the rights of girls to go to school. What vision! What focus! What perseverance!

And what a role model. Malala herself was a blogger having been requested by the BBC to blog about life under the Taliban in the Swat valley. In the book, every fiber of her life breathes life into her passion to promote girl child education in her native Pakistan and around the world.

Malala is truly an inspiration to every campaigner. Thank you.
